Plot

The world of Elden Ring is called the land between – a large realm that is ruled by demigod. Also, it is hallowed by the power of Elden Ring and Erdtree.  The exploration of lore and history of lands consists comprised of 12 parts before becoming the Elden Lord. The game is specifically connected to the outer god named Greater Will sent the Elden Ring down from the cosmos into the lands between.   With a range of antagonists, merchants, trainers, and protagonists, the game is full of side quests.

Main Character

The Tarnished is the key player and protagonist of Elden Ring.  The character is powered by the Flame of Ambition as the tarnished endeavors to become the Elden Lord.

This game is a complete physical manifestation of the concept of order that governs the whole world. Great Runes that are an integral part of Elden Ring determine how different parts of the existence work.  The players have to collect the Great runes from each of the demigods and put them back into the Elden Ring at the very end.

Elden Ring Setting

This game has a dark fantasy setting and is a true work of art with its progressive nature. Elden ring takes place in the “Lands Between” and has a powerful theme.  Elden Ring features multiple characters and lore hinted at in the past Dark Souls game. To establish a cordial connection with the player, the game begins with a quick tutorial showing the basic combat mechanics.

The composed and different backstory is written by Game of Thrones George RR Martin.  The collaboration between George R.R Martin and the innovative Dark Souls team resulted in twisted tapestry of narratives.

Elden Ring Review : Key Features

Elden Ring review

With a simplistic starting the game feels like every other Soul game in the start but the plot and twist in the storyline are its specialty.  In Elden Ring, you are treated to a dark fantasy detailing the downfall of the world.  Elden ring  has an array of features, let’s explore  them in this Elden ring review

Open World Design

The biggest yet the most impressive change from previous From Software titles is its open-world design.  You can travel easily from one area to the other and have the Spirit Steed mount for quick and easy traveling.   There is no limitation in exploring the land except for the curiosity and skills of the gamer.   In this game, one can easily gather materials like arrows, and craft items on the way while attacking convoys.

Evocative Map

Elden Ring map is both a guide and an intricate work of art.  The map of this iconic game has few icons with an indication of the important sites. Also, it gives customization options to users to mark the sites with stickers as they please.  Each new region you need to explore has one or more map fragments that will show the overworld map.  Additionally, it looks good all on its own like a map painted with an artistic explorer.

 Game Play

Elden Ring used many of the similar components of the previous game while focusing on its open-world design.  The calmer times in the game usually come at the start like Breath of the Wild but carry forward with its traditional brutality.  Elden ring also features mini-dungeons like caves and catacombs for exploration along with the giant sprawling dungeons.

 Graphical fidelity

Elden Ring is one of the graphically intensive games with immersive visuals.  Graphical fidelity is the top priority and it highly depends upon the system’s requirements and the resolution of the game.   The basic setting of the game allows you to change the resolution and switch from full to borderless screen.  There are altogether four presets that can be auto-detected: Low, Medium, High, and Maximum.

NPCs

With a range of interesting NPCs, Elden Ring is a masterpiece.  Merchant Kale, Melina and Alexandra aka Iron Fist are a few of the renowned NPCs in the game.  Players encounter them at various parts of their journey and they often provide insights that help players to piece together the Lore of the game.
